Opportunities

In addition to  an exploration of effective teaching practices and methods, most of our courses include an active internship in a local K-12 or UC Davis classroom, under the guidance of a mentor teacher.

You will be sharing the excitement of math and science learning in interesting, fun, and effective ways and will investigate how different teaching strategies relate to student learning in science and math.

  • Become a CalTeach/MAST Student Ambassador

CalTeach/MAST Student Ambassadors represent the CalTeach/MAST program both on and off campus. We are looking for CalTeach/MAST students from diverse backgrounds who demonstrate excellent communication skills and leadership potential. The Ambassadors provide resources and information about CalTeach/MAST and assist with recruitment activities. Not only will this give you a chance to learn more about CalTeach/MAST, but it will also help you network with your fellow students, area teachers, and the campus community.

A small stipend will be awarded to each student selected to become a CalTeach/MAST Student Ambassador.
